By Dave

What truly helped me turn things around with Soberlink was the gamification aspect. I wanted to keep my sobriety streak alive. Something about seeing those consistent, verified test results added structure and motivation that I hadn’t found in other programs. That streak became a source of pride. I didn’t want to break it and ultimately that mindset has helped me stay sober for good.

My Story: Hitting Rock Bottom

Hey, I’m Dave. For over a decade, I struggled with alcohol. It wasn’t just a casual issue—it nearly destroyed my marriage and pushed me to the edge of losing my relationship with my two amazing kids.

I ignored the warning signs for years, but eventually, I hit a wall. I looked in the mirror and saw someone I didn’t recognize. That was the moment I knew I had to change—not just for me, but for my family. I started browsing Twitter late one night, hoping to find some inspiration, some kind of next step. After a few days of scrolling, I came across a Twitter profile that talked openly about recovery. That thread led me to something I’d never heard of before: Soberlink.

Discovering Soberlink

At first, I was skeptical. I’d tried a lot of things before like meetings, apps and looking for a support group. But, none of these things really stuck. Still, the idea of Soberlink intrigued me. I dug deeper and read reviews, watched videos, and explored the Soberlink website.

Eventually, I took the leap and ordered the device. I wasn’t overly hopeful because I had been let down before. But I told myself: “Let’s just try”.

Starting My Journey with Soberlink

When the Soberlink device arrived, I began testing three times a day. I set up the alerts to go to my wife and therapist using the cellular version. I figured that if someone else was getting those results, I’d be more likely to follow through.

At first, it felt clinical and routine. But by the end of that first week, something changed.

I started to look forward to using it.

Not because I liked being tested, but because each test confirmed I was doing it—I was showing up for myself. It was the first time I felt like I had control over my sobriety. The accountability helped. The structure helped. But most of all, that streak helped.

The Power of the Streak

Soberlink’s gamified experience may not seem like much on the surface, but for someone like me, it made all the difference. I treated each day like a win, and as the days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into months, I began to realize: I can actually do this.

That streak—those little daily wins—became the foundation of my recovery.

A New Chapter

Today, I’m proud to say I’m sober—and not just temporarily. I’m committed to staying this way for life. I don’t need alcohol anymore. I have something stronger now: a sense of purpose and a tool that helped me reclaim my life.

I honestly don’t know where I’d be without the Soberlink breathalyzer device. It gave me the structure, accountability, and motivation I needed to stay on track when nothing else seemed to work.

Thank You, Soberlink

If you’re struggling like I was, I encourage you to give Soberlink a chance. It might seem like just a breathalyzer, but for me, it became so much more than that. It became a lifeline.

Thank you, Soberlink, for giving me back my family—and my future.

In this article, we discuss a review written by Miranda G. from Newport Beach. After that, we will discuss how Soberlink can help with your struggle against alcohol. You can find all our reviews, product reviews and alcohol addiction tips on our homepage.

Miranda’s Review

I have struggled with alcoholism for two years now and have lost a lot of trust and hope within the relationships of my friends and family. Now that I am sober after coming out of treatment and working a daily program of AA, I rely heavily on sober link to show my loved ones that I am staying on track, especially for my mom who is not living close by which gives her a piece of mind and it has really helped strengthened our relationship and rebuild that trust again. Thank you soberlink!!

What do do if you struggle with alcohol?

If you are struggling with alcohol and feel that it is affecting your life negatively, it is important to seek help. Here are some steps you can take:

Talk to a trusted friend or family member about your concerns. It can be helpful to have support from people who care about you.

Consider seeking help from a mental health professional, such as a therapist or counselor. They can provide you with support and guidance as you work to address your alcohol use.

Look into self-help groups, such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or other support groups for people who are trying to reduce their alcohol intake or stop drinking altogether.

Consider medication-assisted treatment, which can help reduce cravings and make it easier to manage withdrawal symptoms.

Make lifestyle changes to support your recovery, such as eating a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, and finding healthy ways to manage stress.

It is important to remember that overcoming alcohol addiction can be a challenging process, but it is possible with the right support and treatment. Do not hesitate to reach out for help if you feel that your alcohol use is causing problems in your life.

Find support for your alcohol addiction

Struggling with alcohol addiction can be very difficult. One of the most important things, as we mentioned above, is seeking a support network. It can be a complex and challenging journey to recovery. Here are some resources and information that may help you find the support you need:

1. Support Groups: Joining a support group can provide you with a sense of community and understanding from others who have experienced or are experiencing alcohol addiction. Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is one of the most well-known support groups worldwide, offering a 12-step program to help individuals recover from alcoholism. Other support groups include SMART Recovery and Women for Sobriety.

2. Counseling and Therapy: Consider seeking professional help from a counselor or therapist who specializes in addiction treatment. They can provide individualized support, help you address underlying issues contributing to your addiction, and guide you through the recovery process.

3. Rehabilitation Centers: In cases of severe addiction, inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation centers may be necessary. These facilities offer structured treatment programs, detoxification services, counseling, and ongoing support to help individuals overcome alcohol addiction.

4. Hotlines and Helplines: Many countries have helplines and hotlines dedicated to providing support for individuals struggling with addiction. These services can offer immediate assistance, information, and referrals to local resources. Examples include the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) helpline in the United States (1-800-662-HELP) and the Alcohol and Drug Helpline in the United Kingdom (0800 917 7650).

5. Online Resources: There are numerous online platforms, websites, and forums where you can find information, support, and connect with others going through similar experiences. These resources can include educational materials, recovery tools, and online communities that can provide guidance and encouragement.

Remember, seeking support for your alcohol addiction is a crucial step towards recovery. Reach out to the available resources in your local area to find the most appropriate and suitable help for your situation. Also, it’s important that you don’t change your alcohol addiction for another type of addiction.

How can we help?

Soberlink helps you keep accountable. It’s a high-tech alcohol monitoring device that you have to use daily. Your family and loved one can keep track of how you are doing. For many people this has been an extra support to combat their alcohol addiction.

We have written many case studies over the years. Here are some of them

Finding your path to sobriety is usually a road with a lot of up and downs. It’s never really a straight line up. It’s very important that you keep your streak going, meaning it’s important that you don’t relapse. It’s easy to think ”one beer won’t hurt me”, but this can’t be further away from the truth.

Below you can read a review written by Brian, and his thoughts on how Soberlink helped him to get on the right path.

Brian’s Review About Soberlink

Soberlink was an incredible addition to my first year of recovery. I signed on about a week out of rehabilitation. I had initiated a strong sober network, who I included in my Soberlink reports, which was a wonderful reassurance to them. We all are taught that your sober network is the key to your recovery. But we have lost their trust, and adding Soberlink was enormous to me in regaining it. I used Soberlink for a full year. Whatever inconvenience it conveyed was offset entirely by the good will I achieved. It is a miraculous tool, one I urge at the highest level as you begin your own recovery. Each will use it at his or her own needs; for me, committing to the year mattered. But whichever timeframe you choose, I encourage you to their company; it was easy for me to incorporate in my recovery and of incredible importance.

Brian has giving us 5 stars out of 5.

What we can conclude?

If you just started recovery, chances are you could do with some help. Just as Brian did, Soberlink might be a great addition to get you on the right path of sobriety much faster. Also make sure you have a strong support network. Soberlink is used as a tool, and having a strong support network is another thing that might help.

You don’t need to do this alcohol recovery by yourself, there are plenty of people that have your best interests in mind. And so does Soberlink.

Glenn Brook living in Mill Valley, California leaved us the following review about Soberlink.

“I tried to quit on my own for years to no avail. My family was really down on me with near interventions. I had been to intensive outpatient programs yet I still drank. I did 90 in 90 at AA but the one thing that worked was Soberlink. I knew that if I drank I would be caught and that meant inpatient programs which I dreaded.I’ve been sober now for two years and recently stopped Soberlink, my advisor thought I still needded to attend AA which I am happy to do.!”

Why Quitting on your Own is so hard

A large number of people struggle with their alcohol addiction and recovery. It’s definitely not an esay task to quit on your own. That’s why we recommend Soberlink. Many people have recommended us on provenexpert.com so definitely read that site if you are interested in more client reviews.

People are finding recovery sooner now than it used to be. This could be more access to care or reduced stigma. Another reason is that people currently are more aware of the dangers that alcohol presents. One thing is clear, quiting alcohol after a long time is never easy and Soberlink want to help you with this process.

I have had a drinking problem for the majority of my adult life. Here is my Soberlink review how this alcohol monitoring company helped get my life back together.

Denying I have a problem

I am a pretty stubborn person. When my wife told me I had a drinking problem, I first tried to deny it. I’ve heard this is quite common for people to do.

Looking for a treatment center

The first thing I did when I realized I shouldn’t go through this alone, was looking for an alcohol treatment center. I ended up finding a great treatment center that helped me recover my alcohol addiction in about 2 months time. After that I was realeased back intot he world. Honestly at the start I was afraid to leave. I thought I needed to stay longer, or sooner or later, I would probably have an alcohol relapse. How could I try to avoid this? A friend of me told about another friend that had used Soberlink. I was intrigued how something like that could possible help me.

Learning about Soberlink

Through a friend I learned about Soberlink. I talked about ”not having any accountability” and he immediately told me about another friend who has used this company and saw amazing results. I mean there are many writers online who have written about the benefits of using Soberlink. There are some great reviews to be found on the internet. I am usually sceptical about these, so I was surprised that people in my real life had such good stories about this.

Long story short, I have been using the Soberlink alcohol monitoring devices for about 6 months, and I am very happy I found this company. My goal was to get 50/50 custody of my children, and after using this company, I achieved this. It has honestly improved my life in a lot of ways.

If you have any doubts about the system, just give it a shot; it’s helped me out a lot.

This story was posted on June 2022 on our main Soberlink website. Here we will share this story as well.

Megan has been Sober for over a year. She has lost her kids in 2004 during birth. After this she started drinking pretty heavily, to the point it was daily.

She has been sober since November 12th, 2020. This is her sobriety date. She is also currently in school to get her Bachelors as a Geospatial Engineer. A sober life has changed her and this is only one of the examples of the benefits that Soberlink has given people.

Of course she is grateful for all of the clear-minded days and looks forward for more.
